Actually, I could go for some peanut butter frosting.

Scott, if you read this, can you post your mom's recipe for peanut butter frosting somewhere? I keep losing it.

I'm not scott, but...

Peanut Butter Frosting

1/2 cup cream style peanut butter
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
2 cups unsifted C and H powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla

combine all ingredients and beat until smooth. makes 1 3/4 cups, enough to frost a 9-inch layer cake

hints for frosting: be sure cake is completely cold. place strips of waxed paper around edge of cake plate before placing the bottom layer upside down on the plate. spread 1/2 cup frosting on this layer. place second layer right side up on top of frosting. frost sides first with upward strokes. use remaining frosting to spread evenly on top of cake.
